COURSE OVERVIEW:
The Certified Six Sigma Black Belt is a professional who leads complex process improvement and process innovation projects to realize the business benefits in any type of industry. A Six Sigma Black Belt has sound understanding of Six Sigma approach, methodology in terms of 5 phases (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC), and a set of tools and techniques to make data-driven decision.
This course helps participants to grow professionally, increase their complex problem-solving and process improvement skill set, execute Six Sigma projects based on the Six Sigma approach and DMAIC methodology, and drive business results.

Exam Rescheduling Policy:
- Students can can request for rescheduling in case of any situation preventing them from taking the exam on the scheduled date.
- There will be a rescheduling fee of USD 50
There is no formal prerequisite for this certification. However, it is recommended that the students undertake the FREE Six Sigma Yellow Belt (SSYB™) Course to better understand the concepts required to be certified in Six Sigma Green Belt (SSGB™) certification exam.

6sigmastudy™ certificate should be renewed within three calendar years of its issue date by taking the re-certification exam. A re-certification exam is not as extensive as the certification exam and consists of only half the exam questions. A student can pass the Re-certification exam with just a few hours of study.

ASQ SSGB certification requires passing one exam.
Exam Format:
- ASQ SSGB exam contains 100 questions and an additional 10 non-graded questions for online exam format.
- Total appointment time is 4.5-hours; exam time is 4 hours and 18 minutes.
- It is open book and Prometric Proctored online exam. Each participant must bring his or her own reference materials.
- You need a score of 550 points out of a possible 750 to be certified.
Exam Fee:
- CSSGB exam voucher cost is (as of Jan, 2023): USD 469
- ASQ MEMBERS SAVE $100 ON INITIAL EXAMINATION FEE, and ASQ membership fee per annum is USD 169
Exam Retake:
- Re-Examination Fee: USD 269
- There is no limit to the number of times you may retake an exam. You will, however, be charged a retake fee each time.
- You must retake the exam within 2 years of your last attempt.
- If you do not retake within this period, you will have to submit a new application with full certification fees.
Exam Rescheduling Policy:
- Rescheduling an exam at least 5 days prior to your appointment using the Reschedule/Cancel option available on the prometric website.
- There is a USD 130 fee for changing an appointment.
- No change may be made within 5 days of your appointment without forfeiting the test fee and needing to re-register and repay the test fee.
Application Processing:
- There are several ways to apply. You can apply online.
- You can download an exam application for mailing or faxing.
- You will need your resume and credit card to complete the application.
- You will receive an email notification from ASQ letting you know that your application has been approved.
- If your application is not approved, you will obtain a partial refund.
- The USD 130 processing fee is not refundable.
