COURSE OVERVIEW:
The Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt is a professional who leads limited improvement projects and / or serves as a team member as a part of process improvement projects led by a Certified Green Belt or Certified Black Belt, enabling each individual to support the organization’s overall objectives. A Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt is well versed in the foundational elements of Lean Six Sigma approach, methodology in terms of 5 phases Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC), and a set of tools and techniques.
This course is designed to provide an overview of Lean Six Sigma apparoach and DMAIC methodology and a good understanding of process management and data collection methods, as well as to prepare for LSSYB certification..
EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOME:
- Demonstrate a good understanding of Lean Six Sigma approach and DMAIC methodology.
- Develop knowledge about some basic tools and techniques.
- Understand the role of Yellow Belts in Lean Six Sigma projects.
- Build good understanding to lead small improvements in their day-to-day work processes.
- Develop a mindset to think about different ways to solve the problem.

- Engaging and interactive way of course material delivery is carried out using the demonstration method and real life examples and exercises.
- Recap after a lunch/coffee/day break helps participants to enhance their understanding.
- Knowledge check exercise is conducted every day before the end of the class.

The International Association for Six Sigma Certification (IASSC) is a Professional Association dedicated to growing and enhancing the standards within the Lean Six Sigma Community. IASSC is an independent third-party certification body. IASSC exclusively facilitates and delivers centralized universal Lean Six Sigma Certification Standards testing and Lean Six Sigma Accreditations.
The International Association for Six Sigma Certification (IASSC) operated under "PeopleCert" requires passing one exam.
Exam Format:
- The LSSYB exam contains 60 questions and an additional SIX non-graded questions for online exam format.
- Duration of exam is TWO hours.
- It is closed book and PeopleCert Online proctored exam.
- A minimum score of 70% is required for certification.
Exam Fee:
- LSSYB exam voucher cost is (as of 2022): USD 250 (https://orders.iassc.org/certification-exam-vouchers/)
- LSSYB exam voucher is valid for one year from the date of purchase.
Exam Retake:
- 2nd sitting after 2-week period from first time sitting
- Any subsequent sittings must be at least three months apart.
Exam Rescheduling Policy:
- Rescheduling an exam up to 48 hours before its start time is free.
- Rescheduling at a later stage is subject to additional charges.
- A fee of USD 52 will be charged for rescheduling from 48h up to 4h before the exam.
- After that time, a fee of USD 104 applies.
There are no prerequisites required in order to sit for the IASSC Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Exam.

- practice question sets prepared by Emergence Skills
- For Virtual Live Class (VLC), video recording will also be shared with all participants.
IASSC Re-certification LSSYB exam is required to be re-certified within 3 years from their original certification.
Exam Format:
- It is abbreviated version of IASSC LSSYB Certification Exam.
- The intention of the IASSC LSSYB Recertification Exams is to measure retained subject matter knowledge of previously demonstrated and certified knowledge.
- It contains 30 questions.
- Duration of exam is 1 hours.
- It is closed book and PeopleCert Online proctored exam.
- A minimum score of 70% is required for re-certification.
